day 89 - Frost
There was frost on the ground this morning. Looks pretty up close. Won't be seeing anymore for a least a few days, we're expecting nighttime temperatures around 50 degrees.

day 87 - Breakfast
Today my husband decided to put ice cream on the waffles for the kids & himself :o. Good thing that isn't how they normally eat them.

These are some pictures and letters drawn/written by my 2 1/2 yr old daughter. I find them pretty impressive :)

day 78 - Fridge
Our refrigerator wasn't working properly so I had to empty it out & took some of the food to my in-laws house & kept a few things on hand in a cooler. Thankfully someone was able to come out fairly quickly & get it fixed. It needed a new part and was repaired for under $200.00. The refrigerator also received a good clean out.

day 71- Hydronic
We've recently been having some trouble with our hydronic heat system. Somewhere water has been leaking out, which then causes the pressure to drop and eventually everything to shut down. No heat or hot water. We found a leak, hopefully the only one. My husband tightened up the loose connection, now we wait and see.

day 69 - Ending of Winter
Today there was another sign that winter is on it's way out. Some of the birds that migrate for the winter have started to return. This is a grackle at our feeder.

day 68 - Signs of spring
I finally got out to enjoy some of this nice weather we've been having lately. Took a walk around my front island bed and while much of it is still covered in snow there are some bare areas. In one of those areas free from snow I found these snowdrops getting ready to bloom!

day 67 - Winter's grip
We've had some warmer weather recently which has started to melt the snow but much of the yard is still held tightly in winter's grip.

day 66 - Faces
This was tonight's dinner for the 3 older kids (don't worry they do get better meals than this usually). My oldest son said he wanted strawberry eyes for dinner, sorry we don't have any strawberries, then blueberry eyes, sorry no blueberries. How about banana eyes? Okay. What do you want them on? Fajitas. On fajitas? I think you mean tortilla's. So I added breakfast sausage for a mouth & a raisin for a nose. My other son doesn't eat fruits or vegies, so he got nuts for the eyes & nose.

day 65 - Zoo trip
Today I took 2 of my 4 kids to the zoo. Didn't feel like I needed to take my 6 month old & my 4yr old son didn't want to go, so they stayed home w/ Oma. We had great weather, 40's & sunny. They kids had a great time. Here they are in a tunnel where the seals swim by you and over you :-)

day 62- Supplies
My goal is to organize my scrapbooking & stamping supplies. One, because it needs to be done, two I plan on scrapbooking on the 19th & want to have my stuff organized so I can get lots done that night. This area is partly done but I have much more than just this cabinet to do. {I used to work at a scrapbook & rubber stamp store and supplies for those hobbies is my one shopping vice}

day 61 - Ice Cream
Love Breyers ice cream. Haven't been buying it much lately. It's not cheap and my little nursling doesn't like me having milk. It was recently on sale and my other 3 kids love some ice cream every now & again, so I bought it for them. {I have to admit I failed, I did not take a picture yesterday but have taken 2 today to make up for it}

day 60 - Memories
Many years ago, before our children were born, my husband & I went to the Grand Canyon. It is an awesome display of God's handiwork. We did the mule ride that goes halfway down into the canyon (something I recommend). My husband bought this hat and we each recieved one of these skins for water. I have them hanging in my closet & they bring back good memories. I suppose one of these days I should get the pictures out, pick a good one & frame it & hang it with these items ;)
